This page explains which cookies Clima do Mundo uses, what each one does and how you control your choice. It complements our Privacy Policy. Last updated: August 2026.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser to remember information between pages — for example, that you already answered the cookie notice, or that you prefer temperatures in Celsius. They cannot run programs or read files from your device.

2. Essential

These store only your answer to the cookie notice and display preferences such as language, temperature unit and the last city you looked up. They live in your own browser's local storage and are never sent to our servers. Without them the site would forget your city and units on every visit.

3. Analytics — Google Analytics

These measure how many people use the service, which cities and languages are most requested and where traffic comes from. That is what guides which regions get better coverage. They are only enabled if you accept the notice — if you decline or ignore it, Google Analytics is never loaded. IP addresses are anonymised.

4. Advertising — Google AdSense

The site displays Google AdSense ads, which pay for hosting and for the weather API calls, keeping everything free and registration-free. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ad Settings or at aboutads.info — ads still appear, they simply stop being personalised.

5. About your location

When you allow browser location access, it is used only to find the nearest city and show its forecast. That coordinate is not written to a cookie and not stored by us: it is used on the spot and discarded. You can deny the permission and search for a city by name without losing any functionality.

6. Changing your choice

Use the Manage cookies link in the footer of any page to reopen the notice and choose again. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser's privacy settings. Blocking everything does not break the site: the forecast works with no cookies at all.
